Photos and Journals from a Wandering Soul
I spent the winter and spring in Stuart, Florida at Phipps Park. I totally enjoyed the good weather in South Florida. As with any other workamping job, I met a lot of wonderful people from all over the country.
By the end of April, I was on the road again headed to Connecticut to work at Dockside Electronics. It was a great summer. My job was terrific and it was nice to be back in my home town.
In the fall I left for Sherrill's Ford, NC for a workamping job at Lake Norman RV Resort.
In November I took a road trip to Florida to visit a friend. In that short visit I made time to look at property and ended up buying a condo! Now this is something I never thought I would do, but it seemed like the best move to make. I had been on the road full time in my motor home for nearly 8 years. It was time. All of the paperwork was done by email. By the middle of December the warmer weather was calling me. I cut my time short at the RV resort and headed "home".
2014
I had put my motor home in storage. By February I realized it was time to sell it. I posted it on Craig's List and it sold in a few days. Then the push was on to find some kind of camper to use in the summer. So I went from towing my Jeep to my Jeep towing a 14' camper. I was all set for the summer!
